Course Info

The Defensive Pistol Course is the next step after your Concealed Carry Firearms Course or any other introductory pistol course. The Defensive Pistol Course will introduce you to the foundation of skills necessary in order to increase your survival and effectiveness in a deadly encounter.


Training Covered:
  • Engaging targets from both dominant, and non-dominant hands.
  • Learning how to efficiently draw and engage targets from a holster (concealment/open).
  • Learning how to correct pistol malfunctions
  • Learning how to efficiently perform magazine changes.
  • Effectively engaging targets while utilizing cover and concealment
  • Increasing rate of fire while engaging targets
  • Effectively engaging targets while moving

Required Items:
  • A center fire semi - automatic pistol with a minimum of 2 magazines or a center fire revolver with a minimum of 2 speed loaders
  • An external hip holster
  • Minimum of 1 magazine/speed loader pouch that can be worn on either a belt or vest.
  • 200 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
  • Please bring a sack lunch. We will be spending most of the day out at the range.
